Do you have boomers and Xers in your department? Expect clashes!

This article in the Salt Lake Tribune focuses on women of the boomer and Xer generations, but the same studies could be done on men from the two generational groups. Multigenerational workplaces—perhaps even your multigenerational department—pose special problems for companies and for managers.

The article explains how some of the differences come up, but offer no ideas on how to cope with them. I'm interested in YOUR experiences as a manager. Are you a boomer manager managing Xers? Or are you an Xer manager managing boomers? Different, but equally challenging, situations.

Read the article in the Salt Lake Tribune , and then please leave your comments on your own experience. Thanks!
